Eating Disorders Awareness Week 2008 (EDAW) (UK)

Eating Disorders Awareness Week (EDAW), taking place from 25th February to 2nd March 2008, is a nationwide, annual event in the UK.

Various activities will take place with the aim of raising awareness of eating disorders such as anorexia, bulimia and binge eating disorder and other related eating disorders.

Beat, the UK's leading eating disorder charity, provides help and support for people with eating disorders, in the form of helplines and support groups, along with an informative website. Beat is encouraging people to get involved in activites to raise awareness of eating disorders during EDAW 2008.

Beat is also requesting that family members of people with eating disorders, who are willing to speak to the media, share their experiences as part of EDAW 2008.

If you would like to organise an event for EDAW 2008, please visit beat's website for an information pack or a fundraising pack. Money raised helps beat to carry on helping people affected by eating disorders.
