The sixth in an annual series of conferences focusing on collaborative working between young people, families and professionals.

This national one-day conference is focused on sharing learning and good practice, latest research developments and improving services. It brings together professionals, young people, families and carers to promote collaborative working in the care and support of young people affected by eating disorders, uniquely drawing upon the perceptions of young people themselves and their parents.

Workshops include young people’s perspective; nutrition, diet and exercise; parents’ perspective, self harm and eating disorders; where therapy meets control; multi-family group developments.

Keynote speakers:
Professor Ulrike Schmidt, Consultant Psychiatrist, Eating Disorders Unit, South London and Maudsley NHS Trust and Head of Section and Professor in Eating Disorders, Institute of Psychiatry.

Ms Susan Ringwood, Chief Executive Officer, ‘beat’.

Who should attend:
The conference is for all those involved in planning and delivering eating disorders services, as well as those who are affected by eating disorders; psychiatrists, psychologists, voluntary sector staff, non-statutory organisations, young people, nurses, dieticians, service managers, families, carers, other healthcare professionals working with young people.

Conference fee:
The fee ranges from £125-£195. A reduced rate is available for family members, carers and service users. The fee includes all learning materials, buffet lunch and refreshments.

Accreditation:
This course is eligible for 6 CPD hours subject to your peer group approval.
